Joining the club

We manage all of our sessions through Spond — used by sports clubs across Europe. Once you're in our group, you can see upcoming sessions, book a place, and pay any session fee in one tap. Spond works on both phone and web — pick whichever suits.

    Get Spond

    Two options — same account works on both.

    On your phone

    Free from the App Store or Google Play. Best for booking on the move and getting session reminders.

    In a web browser

    Go to spond.com and click Sign up. Works on a laptop or desktop — no install needed.

    Join our group

    You'll need our group code:

    FVTCD

    Enter it when prompted after signing up — in the app or on spond.com. We'll approve you within a day or so.

    The invite link is designed for phones and will prompt you to install the app. If you're on a laptop, sign up at spond.com and enter the group code above instead.

    Book a session and come along

    Browse the upcoming sessions, tap or click I'm in, and turn up. First-timers should aim for Sunday morning — easy hitting, beginners encouraged, paddles to borrow.

A few common questions

I don't want to use an app or website

That's fine. Email us at hello@firstandlastpickleball.co.uk and an admin can add you to the group manually with your email address. You won't get phone notifications but you'll get session updates by email.

I've never played pickleball — is that ok?

Absolutely. Sunday morning is the best time to come — bring trainers and a drink, we've got paddles and balls you can borrow. Most people are rallying within their first session. If you want a head start, we've got pickleball in 5 minutes — enough to walk onto a court knowing the rules.

What does it cost?

Session fees are shown on Spond when you book. We keep them as low as we can — they cover court hire at GO! St Just.

Can I just turn up?

We'd rather you booked through Spond — it helps us know numbers and balance the courts. If you've genuinely just walked in off the street, come and say hi anyway.

Do I need my own kit?

Not at first. We have club paddles to borrow. Once you're hooked (and you will be) most members pick up their own paddle for £30–£100 depending on level.
